Larry Walters

Larry Walters is an actuary with over 30 years of diverse insurance and reinsurance experience in both the life/health and property/casualty insurance industries. In addition to technical actuarial positions of increasing responsibility with insurance companies earlier in his career, Larry has more recently been responsible for sales and marketing activities in a variety of company environments.

Included among his sales and marketing leadership positions was serving as the Investor Relations Officer for three large public insurance companies, as head of the domestic life insurance division for a large life insurance company, operating as a life reinsurance broker at two leading reinsurance brokerage operations and, as head of Sales and Insurance Services for Secured Independence, Inc., the first company to offer wellness and disease management services to the long term care insurance industry.

Larry is a graduate of Drake University, Des Moines, Iowa, with a degree in Business Administration. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA), a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA), a former Senior Roundtable Member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), and a Diversified Cash Flow Specialist (DCFS). He also holds memberships in various insurance industry trade associations and was a member of the Board of Directors of a prominent investor relations and proxy solicitation firm.
